One of the best korean drama of Ji Chang Wook to this date and thats without considering his amazing chemistry with Park Min Young in this drama. I loved this beautiful thing that came into my boring existance and that tells you how good this drama is. This drama is gold and you should at least give it 3 episodes before you judge.
The drama has many elements on why it is good and the first one is Ji Chang Wooks’ duality. He plays the role of the wanted Seo Jeong Hoo and sweet stammering Park Bong Soo, who is Chae Yong Shins’ subordinate, with such ease and naturality that it’s hard to think that it’s the same person. And everytime I see Ji Chang Wook, I go
Moreover, Chae Yong Shin as a character is just plain amazing. We see a strong female character who is represented has feminine. She can hold her ground and is shown fighting the bad guys in her own way without pulling out guns or punching people. We also don’t get stupid dialogues like girls shouldn’t do this or boy should do that bullshit.
The most important point is that it doesn’t have cliché plot lines like rich boy poor girl, or jerk male leads. We also don’t get love triangles which is shocking because considering the time when this drama was hired, love triangles was a thing. So, we don’t have to worry about second lead syndrome. Unless if you count the love trinagle between Chae Yong Shin, Healer, and Park Bong Soo.
What else to say, the drama has a great plot which hooks us to the screen, great character development, great chemistry between the couples and is a perfect blend of comedy, romance, and thriller. We get moments where we are so curious and excited that we are at the edge of our seat, we get romantic moments where we feel single as hell, we get moments where we die laughing and also moments where we bawl our eyes out. And we also get our well deserved happy ending.
Favorite OST: Eternal love.
Favorite scene: I have honestly many many favorite moments and I can’t select one so I’m going with the moment when Chae Yong Shins dad grills Park Bong Soo for dating her.
